Why do I need an x-ray?
In cases where dental x-rays are required there can usually be no proper diagnosis without them. It is possible during an examination for a dentist to be able to see or feel anything on the outer surfaces of the teeth, however most problems tend to start in-between the teeth and due to this x-rays are necessary. If any teeth are recommended for extraction first an x-ray needs to be taken to allow the dentist to make an executive decision on whether on not it is a simple extraction or something that may require surgery all based upon size, placement and shape of that tooths root. Implants are another treatment that require x-rays to be taken along with root canal treatments.
